Anadrol description, Anadrol side effects, Anadrol price, Anadrol substance
Generic Name: oxymetholone
Anadrol
If you were ever diagnosed with anemia, then your doctor may have prescribed you Anadrol (also called oxymetholone), an oral anabolic androgenic steroid used for treating anemia caused by a deficiency of red cell production.
As with most anabolic steroids, Anadrol is a synthetic derivative of testosterone. Nitrogen balance is achieved with the use of anabolic steroids provided the body has enough proteins and calories.
Certain health conditions respond well to Anadrol: acquired aplastic anemia, congenital aplastic anemia, myelofibrosis, and hypoplastic anemias.
Side Effects of Anadrol
Anadrol shares similar characteristics with other steroids where side effects are concerned: when taken in unusually high doses, cysts in liver tend to appear, changes in blood lipid occur, and potential hepatitis and jaundice. These are only a few of the side effects, and may or may not be experienced by the user.
The product insert of Anadrol provides more information on these side effects, and enumerates conditions specific to the male and female, including children. Although risks are minimal if taken under a doctor's guidance, potential users must be cautioned that it will not enhance athletic ability.
If users of Anadrol experience the following, they should advise their physician immediately: dark urine color, yellowing eyes or skin, persistent nausea/vomiting, stomach/abdominal pain, or unusual fatigue.
If Anadrol is to be compared with other anabolic steroids, it is identical to Dianabol or D-bol.
Anadrol and Recommended Useage
On mesomorphosis.com, Bill Roberts says: “I consider its potency approximately comparable to Dianabol. It is not unusual for a first time user to do quite well on an oxymetholone-only cycle, but more advanced users will want to stack with another steroid. Typical use is 50-150 mg/day, which should be divided into several doses per day.”
As for duration of usage, it is recommended that Anadrol users limit their intake to no more than six weeks; four weeks is preferable, and with a break of equal periods. Some bodybuilders have said that taking Anadrol appears to be more effective when taken in the beginning of a cycle rather than in the latter part.
Anadrol is taken orally and may be accompanied with food or milk if the stomach reacts adversely. It must be taken regularly, if maximum benefits are desired, and if possible, must be taken at the same time each day. The strength of Anadrol dosage depends on the medical condition; patients are encouraged not to increase the dose or frequency other than the one prescribed by their doctor. It may take anywhere from three to six months before concrete results of Anadrol become evident.
Anadrol must be taken with a balanced diet, rich in iron and folic acid, as this may help to improve one's condition. It is recommended that a diet plan with your doctor and nutritionist be set up. Periodic laboratory testing (blood count, iron levels, cholesterol levels, etc) is also strongly recommended.
Oxymetholone is the chemical name of the active ingredient in Anadrol®. Anadrol is a registered trademark of Unimed Pharmaceuticals.
