Arimidex is not a steroid. It is a tablet form anti-aromitase that is used by many body builders to help prevent bloating (edema) and Gynecomastia (bitch tit) associated with the use of testosterone and androgens. It can be used in place of Nolvadex, Clomid, etc. Bodybuilders are using around .25mg to 1mg per day or .5mg to 1mg every other day and are having good success with it. The FDA approved uses are for the treatment of breast cancer in post-menopausal women with disease progression following tamoxifen therapy. This drug is a potent nonsteroidal anti-estrogen. It is indicated for use in estrogen dependent tumors, i.e. breast cancer. Steroid users take Nolvadex to prevent the effects of estrogen in the body. This estrogen is most often the result of aromatizing steroids. Nolvadex can aid in preventing edema, gynecomastia, and female pattern fat distribution, all of which might occur when a man's estrogen levels are too high. Also, these effects can occur when androgen levels are too low, making estrogen the predominant hormone. This can occur when endogenous androgens have been suppressed by the prolonged use of exogenous steroids. Nolvadex works by competitively binding to target estrogen sites like those at the breast. Arimidex reduces the production of estrogen in the body. Arimidex Dosage Information

a.) Typical Dosage Recommendation

Possible Drug Interactions with Armidex

Harmful interactions are prone to occur if Arimdex is combined with certain other medications, like Hormone Replacement Therapy containing estrogen such as: Premarin (conjugated estrogen) or similar products such as Prempro (conjugated estrogen/medroxyprogesterone), Menest (estrogens,esterified), and Cenestin (conjugated estrogen). The whole point of taking Arimidex is to reduce the growth of estrogen in your body. Oral contraceptives should not be used as an effective method of birth control. This medication can also interact with Coumadin (warfarin).
